SONGKRAN FESTIVAL 2014

Songkran is a festival that is referred to our traditional Thai’s New Year and is to celebrate annually throughout Thailand. Songkran isn't only about partying and beating the heat in a very hot summer time. It is a time of making resolutions, washing household Buddha images, and reconnecting with friends and family. Traditionally, Thais would pour small amounts of water into a person's hands or onto their head as a gesture of respect. The water is a symbol for cleansing the experiences of the previous year, and of starting fresh.

Several hundred members of the Thai Temple and their families are expected to participate in this event. You, your family and friends are welcome to join the festivities. There will be plenty of food and entertainment, and admission is free.
